From November 20th to November 24th, 2010, the 11th International Trade Show for Gastronomy took place in Luxembourg. A gastronomic Highlight not to be missed.
EXPOGAST – a showplace where exhibitors will show kitchen equipment, ustensils,culinary litterature, kitchenware as many useful and necessary items needed by the professionnel cooks.
The main interest however ist he VILLEROY & BOCH CULINARY WORLDCUP, organised every four years with the support of partners by the Vatel-Club Luxembourg, the association of professionnel Chefs of Luxembourg,
The CULINARY WORLD CUP is an international WACS endorsed culinary contest organised by the Vatel-Club Luxembourg, reserved only for National Teams from WACS member associations. ( World Association of Chefs Societies )
This international culinary event ranges second on the worlwide level. 25 National Teams, 10 National Miltary Teams, 10 National Junior Teams, 10 Collective Catering Teams and many individual chefs and confectioners will compete in this outstanding culinary event.. An international Jury composed of outstanding Chefs coming also from allover the world, from those countries as the competitors, will judge the various works, which may be rewarded by a bronze, silver or gold medal. The best teams will be rewarded with the Culinary World Cup.
More than 1000 Chefs coming from all parts oft he world will compete in their culinary specialty. Visitors may watch the preparation oft he various meals to be cooked. All the menus to be prepared by the various teams will be posted on these pages a couple of weeks prior tot he event. The menus may be tasted every evening from 06:00 p.m.
Besides this, numerous regional teams, regional junior teams and individual cooks and confectioners will exhibit their best showpieces in the Hall with the dishes exhibition. All exhibits made of salt, butter, margarine, sugar, chocolate, fruit and vegetable scarving, must be prepared with exclusive eadable ingredients. Professionels as well as visitors may get sware of new techniques and trends.
